Odd noise when our new Escalade moves Sign In

My wife and I just purchased a 2020 escalade and on our test drive it made no odd sounds indicating a problem. We wake up the next day and take the car for a drive to find it makes this squeaking when rolling forward. Any ideas or help is appreciated! Brakes have over 50% of pad left and rotors have no rust! The sound does disappear when applying the brake and applying the brakes makes no sounds.
Our family thanks you for any help you can offer.

If the sound disappears when you apply the brakes then you diagnosed your own problem.

It's the brake pads that are causing that. There are numerous things that can cause that usually resulting from doing a half ass brake job or buying the cheapest pads.

If the rotors get glazed and/or the pads have too much metallic in them, that's the result.

Go buy a good set of ceramic pads and replace the rotors. Lube the slides when installing them and lube the back of the pads and your problems will be gone.

No need to read this. Brakes have to go. Happens to new/unsold new cars too,
