I have a 2002 Altima with 80,000 miles. Lately I have noticed excessive oil consumption with no visible leaks in garage or under vehicle. Also, I see no smoke from the exhaust. I know the oil has to going somewhere , any thoughts? Thanks, Jim

These cars don't usually consume oil between changes. Certainly keep it checked. How many miles do you get before needing a qt.? A weak link could be the oil pressure sender switch -- usually near oil filter -- and if it can drip even just a little it adds up. It may be able to drip directly to pavement and not make a lot of mess. See if you can put a finger or tower on/under it and it should be dry. Also check oil filter. It may be too loose or too tight and either can cause drips or leaks, T
