Oil Pressure gauge stays high 95 GMC

My Oil Pressure gauge stays at 80 plus after startup and while running on 95 GMC 3/4 ton, flutters once and awhile. Could it be the sending unit. (260,000 miles plus)

Yes..
Could be...
Inexpensive enough to try replacing and see if it corrects the problem.
If not ,possibly a gauge/instrument cluster/wiring fault.
Have a mechanical gauge installed and have the pressure tested to make sure there isn't an internal problem.
