Will a plugged or defective evaporation vent valve affect my gas milage?

Depending on what this is it might not run at all for long or cause other issues??

No this will not affect gas milage. The EVAP vent valve just vents the vacumme off of the EVAP system(fuel tank and related components) after the system leak test has been performed. Usually when these valves fail they will fail open so the system can not hold vacumme causing the light to come on. Will need to be repaired to make light saty off but will not hurt the fuel milage.

Morning Jeff!

I was thinking not knowing what the heck this is or just what plugged off that a fuel pump could cause vacuum on the gas tank exceeding pumps ability.

Laugh - imagine putting full vacuum like from an A/C vac pump on a tank to shrink it down for disposal - if you could plug all leaks that would be a trick- never tried that but it comes to mind for just that!
