Problem with headlight

I have a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse with the right headlight dim. When I use the high beams, they both work. When I use the low beams, the right headlight is dim. Does it need a new bulb or could it be a problem with the wiring? Thanks.

Usually when we hear that one headlight is dim, it means that, that side has a bad ground. But considering that you said that the high-beam works normally and by looking at a wiring diagram for this car’s headlight circuit; I would first try a new bulb. I’m suggesting this, because both the low beam & high beam for each side headlights use a common path to ground. If the bulb doesn’t cure the problem, post back and we’ll look at power feed to that portion of the circuit. Dan. Canadian "EH"
