Greetings all. I have a jeep cherokee sport 1996 4x4 73k. I need new tires and I was wondering if there is a problem putting on tires that are a little wider than what I have. My tires are 225/75R15 and I can get 235's for free. If it's okay, do I have to do all 4 or can I do a set of 2 or can I even just have one 235 on (just curious what the big deal would be). The extra 10mm comes out to approx 3/8 of an inch width. Just asking advice. thanks

It's not the width that is your problem. That tire is much taller too.

How is it taller? 235/75R15 Vs. 225/75R15 just a little wider

The 235 is the section width. The 75 isn't a dimension, its the aspect ratio. Its the percentage of the section width that is the height from the bead to the tread.
