2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0L 116,000mi.
Fuses are good
Replaced coolant temp sensor
Fan runs with direct power jumped to it
But radiator fan won't run on it's own and it overheats

If you've test fuse #10 and it's good, you will need to test the relay. This is a common problem on these. As long as you have power, ground, good wire going to the motor and a signal from the PCM, then the relay is bad. If you have a scanner with bi-direction controls you can just try to turn it on with that if not then you will have to go old school & run it to test for the signal.

It's a pulse width modulated relay so it will look like a module. It's located behind the right bumper fascia below the right headlight (thank you Chrylser Sly)

Yep an absolute blast to change, most common problem associated with this concern. I found a way to cheat these but it was last summer and I can't remember how I did it. I know it would require a good set of hand tools to complete this repair.
