Radiator hose came off?

Hey guys, so this post is about the same vehicle as my last post. 1981 Chevrolet Scottsdale, auto trans with a 350 4 bolt main. Has a cam but not sure what kind. Well this happened about 7 months back but I've just been curious since then considering I don't have time to drive the truck hardly at all and haven't gotten to see if it would happen again. I took the truck about 2.5 miles from home to a shop to talk to the guy about some wiring and after I had been there and been parked with the truck off for about 10 minutes the top hose popped off the radiator. I put it on and filled up with water and went home. Made sure hoses were tight, changed the coolant and have let the truck idle for upwards of 30 minutes and drove it about a mile or so and nothing has happened again. Could the clamp just have been loose or is there an underlying problem I'm missing? Thanks in advance.

1981 anything no doubt on second or third set of hoses, new clamps usually the worm gear type can compress hose or hose goes soft and could just fall off do need periodic checking.
Radiator could be metal or plastic hose spouts and might be the problem - don't over or under tighten hoses and I'd replace that one and any others that show bulging with a pressure check suggested anyway check them all.
New hose manually tightened should be rechecked that they are snug when warmed up a few times. Check that oils are not in cooling system makes them quite soft if from inside usually ATF from transmission can really only get there from a cooler at one end tank if so radiator has to go for a new one again especially important as if coolant can get into transmission fluid you'll ruin the transmission!
The other way if so you ruin rubber parts don't forget it extensive water pump has rubber seals also may leak later or are now so pressure check and replace all that are not right meaning not too soft and not hard. Again, recheck tightness of the common worm gear clamps after it's been fully warmed up,
