Re: 2004 LR Discovery steering failure Sign In

I recently had severe steering problems as described in this post. My 2003 LR Discovery was serviced the day before my trip. I noticed at highway speeds the car was wandering and I pulled over twice. The tires had been rotated. I tried to get to my destination and lost control at about 65 miles an hour on a 2 lane highway in the desert. The day before it was serviced it was fine. The body and structure of the LR saved my life but, the steering went out in one day with no warning. Could the repair shop have done something improperly. My invoice indicated they checked the steering. The car is a total loss.

I moved your question to start a new thread of it's own. That other question you posted under was 2 years old.

As far as your question goes, we would first have to know what was found to be wrong with the vehicle before we could begin to tell you what may have caused it.

It's good no one got hurt....

Hopefully from now on if you feel any control or brking problems with your vehicle you won't continue to speed down a highway.....(especially if the problem concerns you enough to pull over twice)
