Guys - I'm having the same type of problem with my 2004 Dodge Durango. It will start up, then the RPM's will shoot to 1500, then 400, then 1600, then 500, then 1500, then 500 and then eventually will die. Has also died twice now at stoplights. Took it to dealership. They replaced IAC and cleaned throttle body. Gave it back to me but problems still existed after driving off the lot. Took it back and they relearned the computer for the IAC and throttle. THought this fixed it but just this morning it does the same thing. What else can this be? PCV valve? Still doesn't throw any codes...

Sound like it has a vacuum leak. If you have a scanner that you can see data, look at the LT fuel trims, if they are high @ idle & come down at higher rpms then it's a leak of air getting past the MAF sensor. If not you can take a can of carb clean & spray around the intake, if you get the spot the rpms will raise or aleast stabilize a bit.....
