I'v got a 96 Isuzu Rodeo LS, 4 Wheel Drive, V6. I need to replace a roter. I removed the brake caliper and caliper bracket, unscrewed the 6 bolts that I thought would enable me to remove the roter but it still wont come off. Do I need to disassemble the 4X hub in order to replace the roter?

Yes, you need to remove the locker mechanism. Once you get the locker off you need a special socket to get the bearing retainer nut off after removal of the lock washer. Once you get that off, you can slide the hub/rotor off the spindle. From there you have to remove the bolts holding the rotor to the hub to separate the rotor from the hub. I suggest you pick up a repair manual, because there is a certain procedure to pre-load the wheel bearings and make sure you have the correct end play when putting it back together.
