Hi everyone, I have 2000 Ford Taurus SE with 3.0 V-6, no overhead cam, no flex-fuel, 166K on it. It has had no major issues for the past 7 year but recently I had the water pump replaced, valve cover gasket, steel hose to the heater core, plugs, wires, fuel filter, belt, coolant reservoir tank, PVC valve, because it was due for tune up and the temperature gauge was fluctuating. It is running great with the except at start-up after the car sits for a few hours. It has a rough idle that goes away after 3 minutes. It ran so rough yesterday that it tripped the CE light. I will pull the code when I get the chance. I am looking for a vacuum leak and I cleaned off the IACV. This occurred maybe two weeks after the tune up. I am now thinking EGR valve. Thanks in advance.
