Seat Belt Question on Tacoma

I've got a 97 Tacoma Xtra Cab 4cyl and the drivers seat belt frequently locks up. It takes forever to get it on when it does this. I'm wondering if I can swap it with the passenger side belt? Any suggestions are appreciated!!

The problem you are describing is in the ratchet mechanism where the belt pulls out of. Pretty sure that they aren't interchangable. Might search a wrecking yard. (Yes, Mrs. Freeman, I know I'm not supposed to end a sentence with a preposition! (My third grade teacher)).
