If you’ve haven’t damaged anything and now have the system reconnected properly and it’s working; as in going into 4X4. The computer will turn the light off after the ignition has been cycled on and off 40 times and there are no other faults in the system. So just drive it and if everything is ok it’ll go out after you’ve driven the truck at least the 40 times. If that’s not fast enough for you or you’re unsure that the system is functioning properly. You’ll have to have the truck scanned by someone with the proper scan tool that will access the system to turn the light off. Don’t sit there turning the keys on and off 40 times it may work to turn the light off but not likely. Dan.

Now I have a slightly different problem. This last weekend my wife left the interior lights on and I had to get a new battery, after I installed the new battery and started the vehicle my service 4WD light is now out but the lights on the 4wd switch do not come on. I tried to put the vehicle into 4wd but it did not work, no lights on the switch, and no service 4wd light. Any new suggestions or theories behind this new phenomenon. Thanks

Check all the fuses other then that you may need to have the system scanned to see if that will give you an avenue to head down? Dan.
