Should I do car service nor or later...? Sign In

Hi,

I have Suzuki Swift 2015, it has about 44,000 km. It is suggested I do car service on a yearly basis or at 10,000 km intervals.

I have done about 6,000 km since my last service which was 1 year ago.

Is it best if I do car service now or is it ok to wait until I do 10,000 km?

I live in Malta, a small island, I drive car daily for about 20mins total.

Thanks

IF you check owner's manual carefully most say under normal conditions. About nothing is normal conditions such as short trip use, dusty, hot, cold, humid, wet and more. Mostly I suggest change oil twice a year or more. Don't forget rotate tires filters and other things listed.
Most neglected is frequently check spare tire for tire pressure! Leave it higher than max listed on it by 10% as they lose air normally thru rubber over time. Bummer as anyone can have a flat to find that flat too.
Glance around at belt(s) of course and fluid levels note if any low that should never be. Find out why!
Oils are not that costly* (here) as things go IDK for Malta added costs for transporting it?

* VS wrecking an engine!

Welcome! Reasons are condensation gets in oil in low use cars! Oil is fine it's always because it's contaminated or dirty + additive can only do so much so long. Good luck with it, Tom
