Signs of bad alternator? Sign In

Would the turn signal being used, or the stepping on the brakes, or the use of my power windows, causing my radio to cut in and out be a sign of a bad alternator? Also the Trooper has struggled twice, days apart, with its first start of the day. And one more thing, twice the Trooper just cut off, once after I put it into drive as I started to accelerate after its first start of the day, and another after coming home from golf, as I was slowing down to come to a stop. Both times it started right back up and continued to drive fine the rest of the day. Thank you.

With any electrical problems you always want to make sure you have a good battery (get it tested) & clean connections. If that checks out then the next step would be to look at a wiring diagram to see if all systems being affected have a common power or ground source........
