Starter Problems?

Hello! I need help, I'm pretty sure the starter on my car just went. I'm certainly not a mechanic, but I know a few things about cars, and I own a car that has had its fair share of issues. The problem I'm having is when I turn my key in the ignition to turn the engine over all that happens is a long series of clicking noises. Also all the lights that indicate the doors being open and the emergency brake illuminate. I know there is nothing wrong with the battery or the terminals because I just replaced the old terminal about two months ago, all the lights, power windows, etc, everything works, I've also had all the spark plugs replaced around the same time the battery was. I'm 80% sure it's the starter, but I just want to be sure. I drive a '98 Honda Accord with 4 cylinder v-tech engine. There's over 260,000 miles on the car.

The fast clicking your describing are commonly associated with a weak battery that cannot provide enough power for the starter. Have your battery tested at your local parts store most places will test it for free.

!! Do you think if I had it jumped it might work better? Or should I just replace the battery again?

Jumping it might get it to start but isn't going to solve your problem for the long term........Start with getting the battery tested and make sure the connections are clean........The lights coming on doesn't mean the battery is good, the lights require the least amount of power to work, the starter needs the most...
Those terminal ends are good for getting out of a pinch but is not a long term solution....If there was a problem with the ends, the whole cable needs to be replaced, the ends are sealed & help keep corrosion out.....With the terminal ends, the cable wires are bare & prone to getting corroded...
