2002 Toyota 4Runner SR5 2.6 liter 118,000 miles I got a new solenoid installed in my tranny in July. Been running fine but recently I've noticed a little 'stutter' while idling. It does it in Drive and in Neutral/Park. I timed the stutters to see if there was any set interval for when it would occur but it's very sporadic. I thought the stuttering was because of using low grade gas, unrelated to solenoid, because when I put high grade gas in, no problems, no stuttering. Then I put lower grade (87) into the tank and the stuttering came back. Recently put 87 in there again with some Heet additive this time and still stuttering. . Is this a fuel injector issue? Tuneup time? Thanks

Probably a plug, wire or coil but you'll have to do some testing to determine which one. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
