TYC starters??? Sign In

Hi, anyone have any comments on TYC starters, they're brand new from China. It's for '91 GMC Sonoma 4.3.
I've been a Delco man for a long time but this will be the 3rd starter that has gone bad on me over the years and the truck only has 90,000 miles on it. I'm looking to use a different starter this time, any info or recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks......Charlie

Sounds like the truck sits a lot. Things can seize up or most likely corrode up to cause trouble. When I see an auto part made in China I find my inner track star and run for the hills. Nothing but trouble comes from them. Not worth it in the least.

I wouldn't compare anything made in China with name brands. They are strictly price. Quality doesn't even factor in. Delco might be mainly made in Mexico now but it's still much better than anything Chinese.
