i have a 1999 chevy tahoe, 4 door, 4 wheel drive. 350 vortec. 124,000 miles. transmission replaced at 102,000 I had the pass lock system replaced about a year ago. New Carquest fuel pump module put in 1 1/2 years ago. New battery 2 months ago. I was driving down the highway, truck went dead, no sputter, just dead. All dash lights and electrical still on. PUlled over, immediately it cranked and ran fine. I checked battery terminal, just in case, everything fine there. 2 weeks later, same exact thing, running through town, truck dies, pull over, and cranks right back up. Any ideas? Electrical? Fuel?

Arggh! Intermittent problems are going to be tough. Just to rule out water use some fuel drying dry gas. - But I would think that would stumble first. Any codes? Check engine light on? Hope someone here has had the problem and can share what fixed it. - T

I will make sure no water, unfortunately I don't have any way of checking codes, but the check engine light didn't come on if i remember correctly.

I heard some the big chain stores will check for codes for FREE!! Like Auto Zone, perhaps others. Talk about frustrating! It's like fixing Christmas lights that are working right now - what are you supposed to do? Let's hope its got a code (usually you get a light on dash) or somebody has had the trouble and found it. Your keen observations can only help with this, - T

Mine is currently doing the same thing.. we have the tank out. there was a hack that worked on this at one time and messed up the wiring but I'm going to replace the pump assem. while the tank is out. check fullsizechevy.com/forums

Going to be tough to figure out. I'm guessing the "pass lock" is an aftermarket thing and almost all that stuff just causes problems. Hope they are still in biz to help you out. T
