Truck been sitting 1 year outside and now won't start. 1998 Ford 150 Lariat with a Triton engine. About 160,00 miles on it. Tried jumping it and will not start. Could the fuel be gummed up? Trying to start it, there is no smell of gas. I think battery is good because it turns over when it is jumped and battery is about 3 years old.

Charge the battery with a charger and test it. Sitting a year a good one would go dead and may be NG by now as they don't like being dead - hmmm?

One year fuel? Iffy but maybe. Try some Seafoam - not as much as they say and if you have spark prime it thru throttle body it just may fire up then burn off all that fuel for new if you can drive it.

That flow chart/check list is excellent but factor in any antitheft things as if untouched for a year battery was dead which could trigger it not to run?

That series of tests will find security system issues too.
