Hi couldnt find a decent mechanic forums without being charged for an answer. I have recently had problems with my car i have a Volkswagon Golf S 1.4 Litre Last week i had a problem starting it i had to apply pressure to the accelrator to get the car started which result in a bleep on the car computer which result in a reset on its own. I have had my airbag light come on which does not go off i have been under the seat messing with the cables someone mentioned my cable underneath might of come lose with me and the wife moving the seat back and forth on a daily basis. tried it sliced my hand open but didnt help the light still remains. Today went out in it and the exhaust system light has come on and noticed a dramatic change in power, this car is powerful for a 1.4 but has lost power for some reason.
Its due its MOT & Service in august and hasnt let me down yet had the car from new

The first step would be to have it scanned for an stored trouble codes and go from there. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
