Is there something called wheel balancing different from tire balancing? I have a small dent in a wheel that after getting tires balanced, I realize is causing a shake in care when driving, particularly on the highway. He said "If the dent is not visible just get your wheel balanced."....Does this make sense? Where is this done?

There are 2 types, off the car (spin balance) & on the car (Hoffman style). The 1st is the most common the 2nd the most accurate. The problem with on the car is once you take the wheel off, if you didn't mark it you lose your balance..... I can't see a small dent causing a problem. Just have them rebalance them for you. Now if the rim is bent....that's a different story.........
