Low Battery or Damage? Sign In

Hello I will try and explain my problem as good as I can...

My car has some battery power, although im not sure its 100% as the window wipers were slower than normal.. But the car doesnt start. When I turn the key it gives out a loudclicking noise.

One of my fuses (Stereo/interior lights) blew the other day. So I put a new one in, but instead of 10A I put in 15A. It was ok driving home from work but then I left it a couple of days before starting it again and now this happens..

Could it just have drained some of the battery or have I done serious damage??

Never overfuse an circuit. Whatever made the first one blow might be a problem or a fluke. Overfusing could have allowed wire to burn elsewhere and be causing a drain now. The battery is probably just low if you get anything out of it and the loud clicking (like machine gun) is usually low amps available and that would probably take a jump start and run.

Then put the right amp fuse back in - if it blows chase that down later. Check the charging system and the battery now and see if they are up to par,
