about break fluid

I had a concern about which break fluid to use on my toyota celica 1990...I had bought the manual but there is no mention on the type of break fluid to use. Does anyone know how to find out or can I use any break fluid outthere. thanx

Check at parts store, owner's manual, or right on master cylinder's reservoir. A huge majority of vehicles use DOT 3 brake fluid. Make sure you use real "brake fluid" as it's not an oil. Containers by any brand should be marked with DOT 3 or higher #s. DOT = Dept. of Transportation, T
