anti lock brake problems

93 jeep grand cherokee - I rebuilt brakes all around. For several years the antilock brake light has been on but no one could figure out why. Now the light goes out off and on and when it does, the brakes get spongy. Then when I depress the brake, it vibrates and pushes the pedal back up against my foot. I figure for some reason the system thinks it needs to shift into anti lock but can't figure out how to fix it. Is this the sensor system?

Till you can get this car to get fixed which should be NOW pull the fuse for ABS and in may behave and if not tow it. ABS is by far the dumbest thing I've ever seen put in an automobile and should all be recalled and dismantled. Said before -- if people don't know how to drive get off the road!! Scary thought: The car companies can't make a door handle last and for some reason we trust them with ABS, air bags, and other things? Food for thought, T
