I have a 2005 chev colbalt and I can't keep the alarm from going off when I open the doors or the trunk, even if the doors are unlocked. I also can't unlock the doors with the door lock switch in the car when the engine is running. Is there a way of turning the alarm off? In the manual all it says is to start the car or open it with the key remote. That doesn't keep it from going off when the door is unlocked. Is there a way of disarming, or is this a malfunction? Thanks, Pipemaster17

When I'm parked with the engine off, I can't lock it with the lock switch on the door either. Thanks Pipemaster17
