does anyone know how to anchor an automatic window motor in the driver side door? i have the door panel off and it appears the motor teeth are not meeting the window gear--the motor appears to be loose or unbracketed and I cannot get into the metal panel of the door.

Most window motors are pop-riveted to the door framework. Assuming the motor/regulator are not damaged, you'll need a large pop-rivet tool and large stainless steel rivets to secure the motor. What year, make, and model are we looking at? Loren SW Washington
