Re: bakes Sign In

Probably have air getting into the system. Recheck your work and the connections.

Yes - re-check your work as MG suggested. Sometimes with a hydraulic failure or just plain bleeding the master cylinder now has travelled deeper than it has in ages and crust inside tears up the seals that make it work even when it wasn't the up front problem to begin with,

Re: bakes Sign In

As Tom has already said. When you bleed a system by pumping the pedal you run the risk of damaging the Master cylinder.

Start at the master, pump the pedal & crack the lines from the master 1 at a time. If you get no fluid out of one the lines, then the Master is trash.....If you get good pressure out of both lines, then you have air trapped somewhere.....At that point pressure or vacuum bleeding would probably get the air out....

When doing brake work, it's better to gravity bleed a system...Just open a bleeder & wait for it to start dripping...It's slower but you don't have to pump the pedal...

Re: bakes Sign In

To be sure the Master is bad you would need to take a brk line loose right at the master cyl and see if there is very little fluid coming out of the master cyl while you bleed it. If you get good fluid from both lines on the master cyl, then there is a problem somewhere else..

Since you only did work to the rear & now can't get fluid from the frt, is sounds very likely the Master cyl has gone bad.
