I just bought a Tuscon 2006 with a brand new battery. 120k on the speedo. Out of the blue the batt' didn't drain, it just stopped DEAD. Not even the fob or door light worked. Prior, I noticed flickering in the radio, airbag, clock and interior lights and the radio would kinda hiss when using the power windows. I must admit when turned key the first time it happened, it felt and sounded like something blew. Got a jump, hour later, happened again. Drove 2 kms into Mechanics. Everything fine, alt, starter, batt etc and the car started. I did notice, no more flickering. However; no more radio. I thought about changing the fuse but I'm actually afraid too. Two weeks later, today, randomly out of the blue. DEAD, as I turn the key on. Jumped, long drive, parked. Turnoff the key, couldn't even do the window up or lock it. Which also leaves the back and tailgate unlocked and susceptible to unwanted entry. Obviously I'm carrying not one but 2 sets of cables and reverse parking EVERYWHERE. Can anyone tell me anything? Much appreciate anything you can advise me on.
Regards Anj.

So I just tried to start it. This time the battery is too weak and the radio is back on. (serious EYEROLL)

The first thing t you should do is change your user name. If the spammer get hold of your email they will make your life hell.

For your car I would start by removing the battery cables and thoroughly clean and wire brush them and see if that helps. It sounds like you have a power connection problem somewhere.
