Hi, my brakes seem to be sticking to my car. When i press down hard on them the car finds it hard to pull away and starts shuddering untill i press the brakes again. Also the brakes are not working very well. Car: Hyundai accent Engine size:1.3 Year 1999 Can anyone tell me the cause. Would be much appreciated

There are a number of things that maybe causing this; as in, front calipers and or rear wheel cylinders beginning to seize, calipers or wheel cylinders leaking contaminating the friction material, parking brake system (cables & pivots) beginning to seize, power brake booster beginning to fail, brake peddle actuator rod has gone out of adjustment. No doubt I’ve missed a few things; as what it could be? Take the vehicle in and have the brakes inspected by a qualified tech. If the brakes are sticking for some unknown reason, they may also fail. After the inspection; come back and tell us what you/they’ve found. Dan. Canadian "EH"
