Hi there a 2004 civic is the voltage regulator inside the alternator.

Yes again and doable. Just index the alt, hold brushes out of the way sometimes just wire even paper clips. Can be done and many have a hole to ground which makes them work without regulator. Just a second to check not more.

If you can pay attention do this. It's what rebuilders do all the time and just make them pretty and about none really do much which is why they fail so often, -- T
