I own 1996 Buick Riviera and my check engine light started flashing. It causes a slight loss in acceleration sometimes.Could this be bad gas,a stuck thermostat,a clogged fuel filter,or spark plugs and wires.I take a chance driving it daily, should I stop.Help me.

Yes, that's what the big flashing red light means,..... stop driving. You have a sever misfire. Plugs and wires are a good place to start. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
