We have a '98 AstroVan. Had trouble starting it. It would start when it wanted to and not all the time. Ended up changing the fuel pump.. Didn't get any better. Took it to the local mechanic who went through it and told us he thinks it is the computer module. Would like to get a used computer from a junkyard but understand it needs to be reflashed. Is that hard to do?

Before you change the PCM, check the fuel pressure, spark at plugs, and injector pulse. These are basic checks for no-start conditions. If you find one or more systems not working, post back and we can go further. Steve
