i have a 93 toyota camry se,and when my car has been sitting all night,in the morning i put the key in and it just clicks about5 or 6 times then starts and runs fine the rest of the day,i just put a new battery in,the starter really got hot a few months ago, wonders if this problem is coming from the starter it self,or something else, bad cables, any ideals would really help.....thks pat in missouri

Sounds like a bad starter but you will have to test for power arriving on the small wire when this happens. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

The small wire going to the starter is the trigger wire from the ignition switch and it is powered when the key is in "start" position.
