A turn of the key and it won't even try to turn over. When I try to jump it, I just get the clicking sound and an occasional attempt of the motor to start. all the gauges and electronics in the dash/radio come on and off intermittently. I was able to jump it and get it home earlier, but now a couple hours later, I tried to jump it to test the voltage on the running battery and I can't get it started no matter how long I leave it hooked up and charging from the jump. the static battery reads 12.5 v on the volt meter, but i can't test it running to see if the alternator is doing it's job.

Clean the battery connections til shiny on both ends of the cables. See what it does then. Caravans love to grow trees on their posts.

Dodges are very sensitive to battery voltages. Wacky things will happen if you have a bad battery or bad connections on those.

Also have the battery tested. Shorted plates will cancel out your jumping attempts.

This happened to me too but it was the positive battery lead that was loose. Have you had any problems since then?
