engine idles around 3000 rpms, i have changed the throttle position sensor and the idle position sensor. temp lights come on; check engine; and low fuel. have changed the sensor for the fan and the other one for the light gauge. also have changed the cooling fans, O2 sensor on the motor, and the computer. whats strange is there are three vacuum lines, can unplug one of the vacuums it bogs down, then put it back on it idles where it is supposed to. my question is if i change the fuel pressure regulator will it fix this problem by any chance?

Look around the throttle body for any ait leaks. if unmetered air is going into the engine, the ECM will try to add fuel to compensate and cause a high idle. Also look for anything that may be binding the linkage or maybe even a bent linkage. Idle speed control is another possible cause.

One possibility is your Idle Air Control valve is having issues, pop it out and make sure it is well seated and if necessary replace the unit. Oops, didn't notice the date.
