f150 clunking Sign In

I have a 95 f150 5.0L, 209000kms. 4x4I just had a mechanic replace all four of my ball joints and had the front end alignment done by someone else. I asked the guys at the alignment shop if everything was good on the front end and they said it was a 100% after driving it I noticed its making a pretty significant clunking noise nomwhere in the front. It never made this before the work was done. I took it back to the guys who did the ball joints and they told me it was my tie rod, they then showed me where there was play but I really didnt see much play in it especially to account for the big noise. I dont really trust this shop much. eg. they asked if there was 6 ball joints or for on my truck. I watched them do the work and they had to take the wheel bearings, and drive axles both off. Im wondering if something didnt go back together properly. It makes the sound louder when turning but also makes it when accelerating straight. Any ideas to what these guys have done to my baby would be much appreciated. Thanks

Thanks I found the problem, Turned out to be the control arm. I dont think it was noticable with the winter tires which is said to be normal.
