i'm in the process of buying a mustang. on the carfax it shows a accident or incident to rear left pillar. it was repaired when the car had about 7000 miles on it. it now has 37000 miles on it. the same owner has owned it the whole time. since it happened 5 years ago and 30000 miles ago is there any reason for concern? just worried?

Good for you for checking that report and finding out something happened. YES - it matters! The car is tagged as fixed from something that probably did involve insurance and it may be perfect now but you should specify that the deal requires an independant inspection of the repair to your satisfaction.

Can you get copies of what was done? If not why?

Just know that someday you may want to sell the car and be asked these questions too and it most likely will effect the sale or the value depending on how well it's documented and what the fix entailed,
