frozen locks. Sign In

my 93-94 toyota camry locks are frozen shut.
after a bit i got the rear passenger door unlocked.
how do i solve the problem for the other 3 doors..
and how do i prevent it from happening again..
it is just the beginning of the winter in wisconsin..
and crawling in the rear door or an open window doesn't sound to pleasant.

thanks for looking at this

Have the locks, latches and door seals (rubber around door) first cleaned and then sprayed with some form of 100% silicone lubricant.
Don’t use penetrating oils; most arousal penitents are water base and will just aggravate the problem.

Guest - to add: If still stuck - just run the car with heater/defrost full blast now and carefully open windows just a smidge but don't force them and it will thaw itself out ONCE and then use the non-water stuff like DanD suggested once they are all working.

Again - don't force stuff. Way too many window regulators and door handles get broken from trying too hard,
