I don't know of any reverse threaded so you need a stronger impact wrench IMO, more air PSI. I don't suggest just forcing those off with regular sockets or creative forces another way, T

counter-clockwise. The balancer takes a special puller and installer to remove and install. Don't try beating it on with a hammer or using the bolt to pull it on unless you want to do some crank work. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

should be 1/4-28 threads to get this one out. The puller HT showed you is the one to use. You can find the right bolts at your local hardware store to fit the application. DON"T try prying this off. You'll just wreck the damper. Don't try a large 3 jaw puller either for the same reason.

Took 5 days to get the bolt out? LOL. Need to speed it up a little bit. Book time is 1.4 hours to R&R the balancer. The service manager and customer ain't too happy. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Saw the word "key way" in this. Clean out where it goes and know it's in place for installation or all hell could break loose. There to make sure it's in proper position, T

You get 1.4 for that? I thought I was going slow but I'm ahead of the curve, and thats on rustbelt cars.

Curious, but why did you have the balancer off? Did you have a tapping in the valve train before you were playing around with the balancer? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Maybe a dumb question, but what is your oil level at? Easily enough overlooked but with balancer off you lose a bit of oil. Sometimes gets overlooked at install.
