[:(] 1996 dodge intrepid car can idle for a while. it willnot heat inside ontell you drive down the road then I have all kinds of heat. partly plugged heater core maybe?

Low coolant level could do that. Needs to be full in radiator and engine completely and you may not see that reflected in the coolant recovery tank. Pressure testing cooling system could help find a problem and flushing whole system wouldn't hurt and might be the whole issue.

If it's low the reason if not just worked on involving coolant is a problem lurking. Watch your temp gauge like a hawk,

96 intrepid car is full of antifreeze.temp. gauge is normal. gonna try to flush it. Thankyou for youre help !!
