i have a 91 r3500 it had a tbi motor i am changing it to carb i need to know will a 4l80 tran work with a carb motor

we can make anything work... Cha ching $$$, Modifications, money, drivability, emissions, hassle factor loss of power all have me ask -

You think you are making things simpler but in reality, you are making it far more complicated to make it work right.

Not to mention that it is against Federal law to make a modification like that and drive it on US highways.

No it won't work. The transmission is computer controlled and needs sensor inputs like throttle position, MAP, position sensor inputs, and vehicle speed. The ignition system is also computer controlled.

Why would you convert it to carb anyway? TBI is far superior when it comes to reliability and drive-ability.

All on same page - no. Keep it OE and TBI. 10 years older you might think of a change that would work out. EFI can handle crap fuel which is all there is much better than a carb so you are NOT making it simpler,
