I have 2001 toyota camry that has started making a high pitched squeal. This starts after driving at high speeds for a while, then continues at slower speeds. The sound stops when you step on the brakes.Any ideas?

Sounds like you need some brake work. Most brake pads have a wear indicator that will rub on the rotor when they wear down to a certain level. Sometimes the noise will go away when you hit the brake, just as it dose for you. When a symptom appears or changes when the brakes are applied, the problem typically has something to do with the brakes. Jeff
