How about the airbag light? Is that on too? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

You have a bad clockspring in the steering column. It provides uninterupted power to everything in the steering wheel.

Just disconnect the battery a hour ahead of time and you'll be fine.

Other than the slot where it settle at when it came out it was very good pad and a lot of pad left on it no rotor damage but the caliper piston was shot alone with those floating bolt that center the pads when brakes are applied (" they bindup").

Good pads can't fallout without some serious issue with the brakes. They just aren't made that way.
