how much oil need

hi:
is there a relationship between the engine size and how much oil does it need,, like for example 1ooo cc engine need 1 qurt g of oil or some thing like that
is there some thing like that.

The relationship of how much oil an engine needs is directly related to the size of the oil pan. The engineers have something worked out, but I don't know what the formula is. I don't think it is engine size. I have seen 4 cylinder engines hold as much as a V8 engine.
Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
