If it's hitting the rev limiter when driving, then you need a new transmission range sensor because the computer thinks it's in Park/Neutral. You can verify that with a good scan tool. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

You need to use a scan tool to see what gear the PCM thinks it's in.
