link pin question Sign In

Hi-
I'm a first-time poster with a question.
First, I have a 2001 Honda Civic, 1.7 L, 82K.

I recently took my car to a chain garage for an oil change. I get a call back with a few additional problems: brake, power steering fluid "muddy" and what was described as bad, but not yet breaking "link pin". I asked if that was related to the shocks, and it was described as a bar that runs across the front of the vehicle. I was specifically asked if i heard any noise in the front while driving, to which i said no, not even on the trip down for the oil change. of course, on my way home from the shop there is now a noise from the front where there was none before.

two questions: what can i do to fix it? and how serious is the problem? (that is, if i can't fix it myself, will it be drivable to another shop?). i will not return there for service.

thank you very much.

They must be referring to a stabilizer link pin which is not a big deal.

Here are the instructions to replace it.
