It looks exactly like this..........
Match up that with a plugged in and one fastener. I don't have engineering diagrams of it all blown up. If you can't find it or recognize what is transmission and what isn't then this isn't for you, - T

It's pretty hard to be specific when you don't even tell us if it'sd a manual trans or auto.

let me try again. The location of the vss, not what it looks like. I am after an answer like front of differential under the air intake or bottom of transmission near the drain plug. etc. Just a general location to narrow down the search. Thanks.

NOOOOO! Not full of ourselves. We do this crap for free and lots of it sharing years of busted knuckles, zillions in tools and equipment. Mistakes understood but see it our way too. Not knowing exactly what you are working on just makes for a ton of questions that one simple comment on what the dang vehicle is equipped with would have taken out what is now a long thread.
If you aren't happy with free help from people (we aren't machines) than I guess you'll never be satisfied,

Yep, I had to get new glasses since my head got this swollen. Thinking of changing my name to King Ego and sitting on a throne overlooking the masses and staring at myself in the mirror all day.
You gave us almost no info. You had to be asked multiple times what transmission you had before you bothered to tell us. Had you bothered to read the forum rules at the top of each section of this forum it would've told you some tips to make it easier for us to help you. Telling someone if you have a stick or an automatic makes a big difference. Had you mentioned it in your very first post, the second post would've been HT's handy diagram and you'd be on your way.
If you need someone to hold your hand, kiss your baby and brown nose you, try Autozone. They're always willing to give advice. Search through a lot of posts on this site and you'll find how much money people have wasted following their advice. Or you could find other forums with a bunch of backyard shadetree types. They'll get you to run jumper wires, chop out random stuff, junkyard repair everything until your car is unreliable and would cost more to fix than its worth. No novices are here giving advice. All seasoned professionals with more money in tools than it would cost to buy an Escalade for each and every one of us.
We're all volunteers and work for a living. We have families, things to do and yet take the time out of our day to try to help others for free with the knowledge it takes years and thousands of dollars to accumulate. The diagram HT posted is from and information service that costs him over $300 PER MONTH to have just to be able to properly fix cars like yours.
Full of myself, I don't think so.

Bought the 9 disc set at Wal-Mart and the kids are into it. Nothing like watching a 3 year old call someone a bunghole to give you a nostalgic feeling.

Well guys the Vehicle speed sensor for a 2001 plymouth breeze 2.4 litre automatic transmission is found by removing the front drivers side wheel then remove the front portion of the wheel well that gives you access to the battery. Look straight in towards the engine and the sensor is easily reached and removed with a wrench or deep socket. It has a two wire connector and the sensor looks like an oversized spark plug. $19 at pep boys. The onboard diagnostic code was po500. hope this will help anyone with the same problem. BTW the symptoms were no speedometer and no shift from low gear.
