long distance help Lexus GX470 Sign In

trying to help my teenage son who lives in St Thomas. He wrecked his 2003 GX470 left front. He's patched together most of the damage but the car "lurches" when idling in gear as if the RPM's are unsteady. He says things even out as he accelerates. It sounds like there's possibly a vacuum line off. It's hard to help working through pictures, but was looking for ideas.
Thanks.

Uggh. It's physical damage/accident or however just patching it to LOOK ok first is fine but clearly more was damaged is really going to take someone right there always best look for the unseen damage.
By chance and IDK is the battery around or near where damage was/is? Was it smashed or ruined such that it couldn't run right away with the damage? There's a problem re-acquainting the functions of how it will run with just that nothing to see so easily.

Troubles I would think: Somehow I doubt St. Thomas has a host of high tech people at the ready with info and parts plus the tools and equipment?

  1. Car is quite possibly a total loss just meaning more $$ to fix than it could ever be worth to just find another something to use perhaps choose the most popular vehicle around find more for help at an Island like that in hopes it's more serviceable yet it's pretty good for a choice IMO,

The vacuum leak is very possibly but it could also be damage to the intake snorkel or a hose going into it. It really needs someone on sight to inspect it that knows what to look for.
